Since 2005, I have consequently been featured in Fortune’s list of ‘Most Powerful Women in Business.’ In 2009, I also ranked 20 in Forbes ‘World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.’ I am widely recognized for my role in shaping the retail banking sector in India and for my leadership of the ICICI Group, as well as my contributions to various forums in India and globally. I have invested in themes around new-to-market opportunities, shareholder realignment / consolidation, corporate restructuring and business turnarounds. I believe such situations enable the me to provide a solution beyond just capital. I am a long-term partner and a sounding board for the entrepreneur / management and an influencer for key decisions for my clients. I invest in the mid-market space partnering with Indian entrepreneurs and building the path towards growth and success.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and attending the opera and ballet. I currently live in Boston with my husband, son, two daughters, and pet cat.
